My desire in attending the conference was to put faces with the names I'd come to know and love by email. My husband cheerfully agreed to come with me for a "weekend away." Our greatest reservation was that the conference would be heavy on the female side (as all I know of the ministry is The Lord’s Table course) and my husband would feel out of place. What a pleasant surprise to find the weekend filled to the brim and overflowing with Word-loving, truth-speaking MEN. Both my husband and I were edified and encouraged beyond our expectations as well as being assured of the firm foundation of the ministry in general. May God continue to deepen our confidence in Him as the Author and Perfecter of our faith.

The conference was so outstanding. It’s all about THE CROSS!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you ever get to go to one of these conferences-- make the sacrifice!!!!!!!!!!! God’s Glory Was All Over This Place!

Praise the Lord! What a wonderful time of enriching our lives in the way of the Cross. Thanks to all who put time and effort in making this conference a success. It was our first; by God's grace, not our last. It was a joy meeting some of you and putting a face to some of the names I see throughout the email trails.

I was honored to attend the SCF retreat. It was so much fun to put faces and email names together. I loved the fact that while we in the conference there was such a sense of community. Even though I didn't struggle with some of the things that others did we have all been set free by the same Cross, the same Blood, the same Savior!! In my opinion the whole weekend honored God! I plan on attending again!! It was such a sweet breath of fresh air. It refocused my vision! Thank you to all that put so much work into the planning and organizing of this event so that it could minister to my heart.

This weekend was a joy and a privilege. Meeting all the "names" I have come to know over the last year was wonderful. The real blessing was the messages, the speakers and most especially the testimonies from various mentors. Hearing and feeling the truth, passion, conviction and love of the people who spoke was like an electrical charge. The Holy Spirit was in that room and He was working on the hearts and minds of those of us who attended. The very first session I was wishing all my students, relatives and friends could be there with me. Seeing the work that God is doing in this group of people makes my heart sing with joy. Mike and Jody, Karen, Shon and all the other board members and mentor coordinators, thank you from the bottom of my heart for being obedient to our Lord and open to the teachings and promptings of the Holy Spirit. The retreat was a wonderful experience for my wife, Louise, and me. We were greatly encouraged and edified by the presence of the Holy Spirit and all those living in freedom. We were moved powerfully by the testimonies, music and the wonderful teaching. The Truth is incredibly powerful! The only complaint is that the weekend went too fast and that not all the mentors could be there! Craig
The Conference was wonderful! My husband & I sang 'In Christ Alone" while we drove the 10 hours home. I was impressed by the testimonies of each & every person & their spouse --& the bond we all had in Christ! There were no 'strangers' among us although I would have liked to know who the mentors were & their number of yrs. of service at SCF--maybe noted on their name tag? It was great to see the faces behind the emails. It was wonderful to listen to God’s Word throughout the weekend. I wish I would have spent more time speaking with individuals but that was my own fault. When Mike introduced his family to us and explained to his children we are the reason why he spends so much time in this ministry, I was reminded of this scripture,
2You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, recognized and read by everyone, 3since it is plain that you are Christ's letter, produced by us, not written with ink but with the Spirit of the living God; not on stone tablets but on tablets that are hearts of flesh. 2 Cor 3:2,3 HCSB
Mike’s and Jody’s authenticity of true servants of Christ are not only seen by their humbleness and blameless lives, but also from the impact on the lives of all of us in this ministry. We are their letters of authenticity. We have been saved and we are constantly being sanctified by the truth of the Word that is constantly flowing through their ministry. Your brother, Tim
The weekend was wonderful. My wife Karen and I were uplifted and fed the glorious Word of God and rejoice to have been able to be there. The fellowship was fantastic. Thank you all! (or more appropriately y’all!) Doug

I loved the retreat! The best part was the awesome teaching. It was nice to hear from so many different people. The testimonies were also great.
The Saturday evening session seemed a little short. Many of us were disappointed that we didn't get to hear more from Mike that evening.
I would have like to see a time of corporate prayer, lifting up some of the needs of the students, mentors, and ministry. Thanks for a great weekend! Qynne

I, too, had a great time at the conference and it was a treat to be able to present there as well. It was great to see some familiar faces and many new ones as well. I think it was cool that there was such balance presented between the Old and New Testaments. Pete
