Day 1 - Part 2
So let's get started! Here is how the course works. Each day when you are ready to do your course material, you will come to Setting Captives Free and click on Breath Of Life. Please pray before beginning your lesson, then study through the material and answer the study questions as you go, and finally, submit your answers. When you send your answers you will receive a response via email from you personal mentor. This mentor has been successful by God's grace in gaining victory over an addiction to smoking and is volunteering his/her time to help you do the same.
One of the strong components of the success of this program is not only the biblical teaching, but also the requirement for accountability to biblical teaching. Be honest on the accountability questions at the end of the day. The course lessons are standardized, and are designed to take you between 30 and 50 minutes each.
Right from the start, we must understand the following foundational truth or we will not be successful in the implementation of our plan to become free from our compulsive smoking habit. The truth is that in order to be successful in carrying out a battle plan against this, our motives must be right. And what is the "proper motive" you ask? The proper biblical motive for becoming free from an addiction to smoking or anything else must be the glory of God.
