PrintBreath of Life Testimony: Laurence Atkins
My name is Laurence Atkins, and my mentor has been Douglas. I am 35, and have smoked fairly heavily for the last 23 years. I was a bit wheezy in the mornings, especially, or if I ran upstairs. I tried playing football earlier in the year, and had to stop before half-time, so my lungs didn't explode. At the start of the course, I thought, 'No way will this work,' and was scared to even attempt to stop. God used the lessons in the Setting Captives Free course, my mentor, Doug, and regular reading of the Bible to re-model me in a better way and to reshape my mind, so I no longer needed or wanted to smoke. I love living in the light, being able to wake up and not need a cigarette, and trying to walk closer with God. It is not always easy, but it is best. God really does want the best for me and you. Trust him; you will not regret it.
