Friend, lust is indeed like a thirst that is never quenched. Have you been trying to quench a "thirst" in this way too?

Note: Jesus offered this woman living water. He said that if she drank it, she would not be thirsty anymore; in other words, she would be satisfied and not desire one relationship after another.

One interesting thing worth noting is that in verse 28 above, we see that the woman "left her water pot" behind. Some would say that it was because she was focused on Jesus and excited about telling others of Him that she just forgot about it. Though we would not state that this meant she never needed to drink water anymore, Scripture does record an occasion where being in the presence of the Lord did meet all the physical needs for food and drink.

27 And the Lord said to Moses, "Write these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel." 28 So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights. He neither ate bread nor drank water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments. Exodus 34:1-35 (ESV)
