Door of Hope Testimony: Ralph

I was raised in a normal Christian family and grew up as a normal kid. But when I reached my teens I started playing sexual games with my cousin which was a door through which I developed homosexual feelings in my heart.

I struggled with it for many years , at least for 13 years but it was not until I reached the age of 18 that those feelings begun to take control over my life At that time I begun to get really envolved in homosexual activity such as : phone sex, masturbation, pornography, etc..

The last 2 years were really bad, although I never had a actual encounter with anyone I met through the internet I got very close. The worst thing is that doing all of this I was still envolved in church , being a worship leader and other activities. I knew I was in sin , but I did not know how to break the chain of sin , the truth is I was a slave .

But one day I ran into a magazine( New Man MAgazine) and read and article about pornography. In this article I found the the address for Setting Captives Free. I begun doing The Way of Purity course because I had no strenght to face the real issue in my life: homosexuality.

In the middle of The Way of Purity course God directed me to the Door of Hope, and there my freedom began!!

What helped me the most was my loving mentor who rejected my sin but loved me and showed the love of Jesus for my life and the love and grace of Christ led me to repentance !

Since then I learned how to overcome pornography and masturbation in my life, I broke all the past relationships that were somewhat related to my former life and now I don't have any chain that links me to homosexuality.

It doesn't mean that I`m not still tempted but sin has no longer power over my life! By the blood of Jesus I can overcome the world. Now I enjoy living without porn and masturbation and I belive the drive I had for men is gonna be gone if I just stand firm in Jesus.

Today I enjoy a healthy and great realtionship with my girlfriend whom I love; I`ve learned that no men can satisfy me as Jesus does!!!!!
