Door of Hope Testimony: Jackie

I have always been involved in church and living what I believed to be a Godly life until I let circumstances in the church turn me away from God. Let me say now that there is no excuse for what I did. I should have never turned away from God, He had no part in what happened. It really doesn't matter to the enemy how he gets you, his only aim is that he does get you.

I was on the Internet one night and my curiosity got the best of me and I went into a chat room. My life was empty and I was looking for someone to just accept me for who I was and of course the enemy provided that someone. The chat became my life and I began to shut out my family and friends to spent more time online with different lovers. I went deeper and deeper into sin, doing things and exposing myself to things I never would have believed that I would commit.

I thank God for SCF, for without the instruction that I received here, I may still be in sin today. I had never experienced addiction in my life and was always able to handle things on my own. I tried so many times to take care of this problem on my own and each time I would fail and go back to my sin. It was not until I reached the end of myself that I was completely broken that I was able to receive Godly instruction.

I learned that there is a vital reason for each step that must be taken in the SCF course. AS I began to take instruction and apply it to my life, I began to see the wall of addiction crumble before my very eyes. I thank God that I now walk in victory over sexual sin. I thank God that he took the ugliness of my sin to bring me to the end of myself, that I know that I am nothing without him.

Sin will truly take you further than you want to go, keep you longer than you want to stay and cost you more than you want to pay.
