Day 2 - Part 1

Because this course may be quite physically and spiritually intense, you should be in daily communication with your mentor. If you have not heard from your mentor, please click here to send us a support request letting us know about it.

Dear friend,

Today is your second of two "transition in" days. Today eat a piece of fruit in the morning for breakfast (apple, banana, etc), then eat a fruit salad for lunch and a vegetable salad for dinner (no oil or dairy product dressings). Use raw foods only, and organic, if available (nothing steamed or cooked). Drink water and juice when thirsty but cut out all caffeine, alcohol, dairy products, anything carbonated, and any liquid that has "substance" or that can "settle", as we are desiring to slowly shut down the body's digestive system over the next several days. For headaches, feel free to medicate with Advil or aspirin (NOT with Tylenol, as that actually CAUSES rebounding headaches, and not with Excedrin or Anacin, as both actually CONTAIN caffeine). These headaches only last 2-3 days, and you'll then have broken that addiction for life.

Before we begin today, one of our mentors, Lucy Armour, wrote in to the Phase II discussion group with some great Smoothy recipes for use when fasting. Here they are, used by permission:

Avocado & Fruit Smoothie

1 banana
1 nectarine
1 ripe plum
Half a ripe avocado (use a whole one if it is small)
Enough fruit juice (I used tropical cocktail) to give a thick but liquid consistency

Just whizz everything up in a blender, and enjoy!

Avocado, Tomato and Coriander Smoothie

4 tomatoes
Half an avocado
Two or three sprigs coriander (cilantro?)
Fresh black pepper
A dash of chilli sauce if liked

Juice the tomatoes (you could use store-bought tomato juice, but fresh tastes better). Add the juice and all the other ingredients to a blender and whizz until smooth.

This one is just SO delicious - I will be having this regularly after Phase 2, I am sure!

Now let's proceed on to our study for today:
