My fasting experience was great. I feel like I know God better than I ever have before. I feel so full of hope, knowing that God sustained me through this and He will always be there to meet whatever need I have going forward. I never would have thought that I could do an extended fast. Through God's grace I did complete the fast and with very little discomfort. I was not hungry at all throughout the fast. Actually I spent several days only drinking water and some orange juice and had to remind myself to do that. I was able cook for my family, do grocery shopping, even attend a big family get- together without any trouble. The temptation to eat did come, but God really helped me overcome those temptations rather easily. The only discomfort I had was leg cramps. I had leg and foot cramps most nights of the fast. I also had some bouts with crankiness and feeling short tempered. I had to realize quickly that satan was at work trying to derail me and then pray over that and my attitude became right again.
