The Lord's Table II Testimony: Diane

This feasting and fasting has been remarkable. I am so glad that I decided to feast and fast right after the Lords Table. God has shown me things that I would not have believed if I would not have begun. It is like having to put my feet in the water and see God work. I want to go right into the mentorship lessons. This has all been led by God, when I look back and see the leading of God for me to this point I am amazed. Gods Word is rich with wisdom and what I need. I was at my Pilates class last night and my instructor (my sister-in-law) was on day 9 of the TLT course and loves it. (I had shared with her about the class and did not even know that she had started.) It is so good to see so many of us getting back in the Word, and feeding our souls, and growing in Christ. Thank you so very much for letting me take this course. The lessons on abiding and our weapons have been invaluable. I will continue in much time spent with God in the Word and in prayer. Thank you again.

The physical part of the fasting was very easy. This I could hardly believe. I had never lasted more than 1 day before in my life. In fact when I started TLT, I was skeptical about the fast day. It became my favorite day, and I plan to continue with it (but not in a legalistic manner.) There were days when I was tempted to eat, but not many. The amazing thing for me was that I was not hungry, I would even be full without hardly drinking anything. Spiritually - This was a time of refreshing for me. I basked in the love of God. He showed me areas where I needed to change. He dealt with my reactions to those close around me. He led me to scripture and books to read that were so appropriate for what I was dealing with at just this time. He gave me a hunger to share with others, what He was doing with me (bringing me back to His Word and a love for His Word). He has given me a heart for those that God has sent to our church, and the need for nurturing in our church. I lost 13.5 pounds.
