This has been a timely and wonderful study for me. It has allowed me to go deeper in relationship with my Savior, Jesus - being in total contentment and rest in Him throughout the fast - no matter what is going on around me. It has increased my faith and my desire to go even deeper. Thank you, Lord!
A wonderful benefit was that I felt so much at peace throughout the entire fast - sensing His presence like never before. Challenges: I struggled for several nights of not being able to sleep - though exhausted, I just couldn't go to sleep. I never did figure out why, but the benefit of that was that I did a lot of praying during the night! The fasting part wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be - and I'm sure its because I was finding my satisfaction in God. I loved getting into the Word and praying like never before. It was great. My prayer is that I will continue to go deeper in the Word and in prayer. Thanks, Jennifer for all your prayers and help! :). I lost 16 pounds.
