The Lord's Table II Testimony: Angela

I do not feel there are any changes that would be beneficial to this course. I feel it is complete and lacking nothing. It has been the most wonderful spiritual experience I have had and I plan to do it twice a year. I have prospered in this course spiritually, mentally, emotionally and of course physically. I plan to continue in my journal tomorrow and write Day 21 and also run to the Word and prayer before any other thing everyday. As the course went on the times of intimacy grew in strength until this morning I was groaning in my spirit to the Lord. I could not even utter words. I have tears welling up in my eyes as I write this and I have such a sense of well being and peace. Victory has been so sweet and a fear has grown in my heart not to return to this sin again. I could go on forever, but I will stop here. Thank you to all who made this possible and to my mentor Penny who encouraged me daily.

The benefits have been innumerable but a few of them have been. Learning that to have a vital connection with the Lord I must pray every day it is the nourishment to the fruit that is being produced in my life. I have come to understand humility in a whole new way and also His grace. I am more determined than ever to fight the good fight of faith and overcome the world, the flesh and the devil through the Word and prayer. I have come to realize that humility, Gods sufficiency, and dependence on Him are of extreme importance. The biggest challenge will be to reject the lies of the enemy and not give into temptation, to deny my flesh at all costs. The other challenge I had during the fast was times of extreme weakness and I felt the Lord telling me it was the flesh dying, which is not a pleasant experience. I would meditate on scripture verses in my journal and pray for the grace of God to strengthen me. I lost 12 pounds.
