Lord's Table Testimony: Andrea

I thought I'd been living in victory over an eating disorder (bulimia) for 19 years. Granted, I did not go back to those habits of throwing up my food (praise God!), but I continued to CONSTANTLY struggle with food. I'd go back and forth with having control over what I ate, and completely losing control. Overall, I was able to maintain my weight going up and down between about a 10 pound difference. So the appearance to many was that I had everything under control, but I was in a CONSTANT battle with food.
A friend told me, in passing, about the study he was doing at www.settingcaptivesfree.com, called "The Lord's Table". I figured, "What the heck, I'll give it a go". To be perfectly honset, I thought I didn't really need it, but what would it hurt? 60-days later I'm writing my testimony to tell you that The Lord's Table Bible study has changed my life!! TRULY! It is a realy BIBLE study - not just another weight loss method.
This study has made me realize and admit that I didn't just struggle with food, but I was in bondage to the sin of gluttony. I needed to see it as the sin it was, and confess it. And let me tell you -- I AM FREE! 19 years ago I had the chains of my bondage to bulimia broken, but I was still dragging that chain around. Through this study, the Lord has completely freed me of that chain. I cannot praise Him enough for this life of victory! Words could never tell what this is like! Victory and freedom is possible - through Jesus Christ. I pray you find it here as I did. Thank you, Lord, for the Setting Captives Free ministry!!
