My friend told me she was taking this course because she saw someone who was dramatically loosing weight, asked her how and was directed to setting captives free. I heard this mentioned at my church so I thought I'd try it as well. I didn't look at overeating as sin until coming to this course. I recognized that gluttony indeed was sin and I had been in bondage to this for years. I'd often go on diets and never had success because whatever I'd loose I'd put back on and give up. I could not break these chains on my own but God's power can deliver from years of overeating. As I repented of gluttony and looked to Jesus for deliverence. I have experienced freedom from the desire of food and He continues to give me more and more desire for Him. He delights to do the impossible and He did. He has given me victory loosing 19lbs. in this short period of 60 days and I trust as I continue to delight in Him and be accountable He will give me the grace to be disiplined and continue to loose my goal of 33lbs.
