Way of Purity Testimony: Terry

The name of my mentor is Robert Bertson.I was exposed to pornography when I was a teenager. My elder brother had pornography magazines in his room and I found some of them oneday, I couldn't stop looking at the magazines and soon I got involved in self gratification as well. I felt really bad and dirty and far away from God anytime I viewed porn and gratified myself but I just couldn't stop.My situation got worse when I got access to the internet.I started downloading porn on the internet. I spent most of my time viewing and downloading porn and gratifying myself.I got tired of being in bondage to pornography and self gratification but I knew I couldn't stop on my own so I started looking for help.I prayed to God to help me and God led me to a website and that's where I found settingcaptivesfree.com.I started their way of purity course straight away and I've learned a lot through this course.I found out that porn and self gratification can never satisfy me and that if I continue with it I'll always have a continual lust for more and that only Jesus can satisfy me.I also learned that only Jesus can set me free and give me grace to stay free. Now by the grace of God I'm free and porn is not as powerful as it was before I started the way of purity course.I thank God for leading me to settingcaptivesfree.If the son sets you free,you shall be free indeed.
