Way of Purity Testimony: Amber

Pat Gause was my mentor. I was involved in self-gratification and looking at pornography for about 5 years. At first I didn't think it was too much of a problem, but eventually it got to the point to where I couldn't really control it anymore. I knew I had a problem, but I let pride get in my way of telling someone. I also didn't think that there were any girls with the same problem as me, but I would soon find out that girls have just as many problems as guys do. I knew that I was supposed to tell someone in order to be freed from my sin, but I never had anyone until God brought my best friend and future husband into my life. I told him about my problems, and we decided to face this issue together and we started the course at Setting Captives Free. Since starting this course, I have grown immensely in my relationship with God. I have never felt better since I confessed my sin and received repentance from God. I pray every day now and read my Bible every day now. By doing this, God has given me the strength to be freed from the chains of sin. I am no longer living in the dark; I am not living a secret life, and I know I am forgiven of my sins. On completing this course, I am sure that I am freed once and for all from my past sins and I am living anew in Christ now. I will be enrolling in the follow-up course to continue to better my relationship with God and to prepare for my future marriage. If anyone is not sure about whether or not to enroll in this course, do it! There is no time like now and God will free anyone.
