My mentor is Pat. I grew up attending church and thought God was the Lord of my life. In 1985, I married my husband and thought all was well until 2003. At that time, I gave in to sexual immorality and it opened a Pandora's Box of sin. I was separated from God and, because of my focus on my sin, I was separated from my family and friends. My joy was gone, and I thought God was furious with me and would never forgive my sin.
One day I was looking on the Internet for help for sexual sin. The Setting Captives Free website was mentioned and I enrolled. The daily study on sexual purity and God's redeeming love were amazing. The temptations are less often and less severe. I seek God out daily and feast on His word. God's word has become so real to me and He teaches me something new every day. He forgave me and I am free in Him.
