The Westminster Catechism begins with this question: What is the chief end of man? The answer is: The chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
A Christian who understands that his "chief end" (or main purpose in life) is to glorify God, and who is serious and earnest about doing so, will immediately ask upon reading the first question and answer in the Westminster Catechism, "how may I do this?" He or she wants to know, practically speaking, how to glorify God with his or her life, and how to enjoy Him forever.
In this handbook I am seeking to be of practical help to those who really want to know how to glorify and enjoy God in their lives, thereby fulfilling their chief end.
